Irhazer Group (Tiourarén & Irhazer II Formation)

The Middle Jurassic Irhazer Group is a deposit in the Agadez region of Niger which contains the Tiourarén Formation and Irhazer II Formation. Unfortunately, it is unknown if material from these two deposits are distinguishable or not; the issue is further complicated by the presence of the Lower Cretaceous Elrhaz Formation nearby. The most common genera found in these deposits are Afrovenator, Jobaria, and Spinophorosaurus, though the identification of to these species is tentative.
