Tyrannosaurids are perhaps one of the most iconic theropods in popular media. The largest of this clade had powerful bone crushing bites and robust teeth. While this group is known for its large apex predators like the Tyrannosaurus rex, this group started out as smaller feathered animals that lived alongside larger allosauroids and megalosaurids.
