Species: Crocodylomorpha indet. Age: Jurassic (?) Formation: Unknown (Possibly Anoual Syncline Formation) Provenance: Talsint, Figuig Province, Morocco Size: ±20.5mm (0.8") Condition: Has repair, but no restorations; stabilized with Polyvinyl butyral (PVB) in acetone |
This is a listing for 1 indeterminate crocodylomorph tooth from the Talsint region of Morocco. The tooth does have two repairs, one at the tip and one towards the base.
While Talsint teeth are normally referable to the Kem Kem equivalent Dekkar Group, these are supposedly from a site that contains Jurassic sauropods. The only notable differences I have encountered with possible true Jurassic teeth is that they are reddish brown in color and matrix is much tougher and able to survive an acetone bath, while Dekkar teeth will always disintegrate into a big mess.
