Elrhaz Formation

The Lower Cretaceous Elrhaz Formation is deposit in the Gadoufaoua region of Niger that produces many famous genera such as Sarcosuchus, Ouranosaurus, Nigersaurus, and Suchomimus. Unfortunately, the close proximity to the Middle Jurassic Irhazer Group can make identification of species quite difficult, if not impossible depending on the morphology and preservation.
